Financial Operations Lead
Own the money-movement surface: nominee bank flows, investor cash ledgers, reconciliations, fund accounting, and the controls that keep every pound traceable end-to-end.
View role →DevOps / Platform Engineer
Own our AWS footprint, CI/CD, zero-trust networking and the observability stack that keeps a regulated platform up, tested and audit-ready.
View role →Blockchain Developer
Build the Move modules, Programmable Transaction Blocks and token policies that run the Haystack rail on SUI - from identity gating to atomic settlement.
View role →Who we're looking for
Operators, builders and technologists who want to reshape how private-market securities are distributed, serviced and transferred - with institutional-grade controls and modern engineering practice.
Ownership
You care about the outcome, not the ticket queue. You ship, measure, and iterate.
Craft
You take the time to get the details right - in numbers, in code, in controls.
Clarity
You write well, think in systems and turn regulatory complexity into calm, working software.
Financial Operations Lead
Haystack is building the compliance-first rail that lets private-market issuers distribute to a wider pool of qualified investors. Every pound, every position and every event flows through our platform - and finance operations is what keeps the ledger calm and the controls tight.
What you'll own
- End-to-end investor money-movement flows: subscriptions, capital calls, distributions, secondary settlement, withdrawals.
- Daily reconciliations between the nominee bank, custodian confirmations and on-chain token events.
- Fund accounting partnership: NAV cycles, audit packages, and supporting the investor reporting cadence.
- Designing and operating the four-eyes controls, reconciliations and exception workflows used at month-end close.
- Relationships with bank, custody and fund-administration counterparties.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in fund operations, private-markets middle/back office, or treasury/fin-ops at a regulated fintech or wealth platform.
- Strong command of reconciliation, cash management and the operational mechanics behind private-fund lifecycles.
- Comfort working with engineers on automation, event-driven reconciliations and structured ledger data (SQL, basic scripting a plus).
- A controls mindset - MLR 2017, CASS, COBS and SOX-style evidence trails are familiar territory.
- Accuracy and composure under pressure, including during close and settlement windows.
DevOps / Platform Engineer
You'll own the surface area that keeps a regulated financial platform up, fast and audit-ready - from AWS foundations to the CI/CD pipelines, zero-trust networking and observability that lets the team ship confidently.
What you'll own
- Our AWS infrastructure (ECS/Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache, VPC, KMS, IAM) codified in IaC (Terraform or CDK).
- Build and release pipelines: PR-to-prod automation, artefact signing, SLSA-style supply-chain hygiene.
- Zero-trust service-to-service networking, secrets management and rotation, step-up auth for admin surfaces.
- Observability stack: metrics, logs, traces, alerting, SLOs and error-budget reporting across request-path tiers.
- Disaster recovery, backups, and tested restore plans for production data stores.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years running production infrastructure for consumer-facing web services, ideally in a regulated environment.
- Deep AWS expertise and strong IaC discipline (Terraform, Pulumi or CDK).
- Container orchestration (ECS, EKS or similar) and opinionated approaches to deployment safety.
- Fluency in one backend language (Python, Node, Go) for internal tooling.
- Pragmatic security instincts: least-privilege IAM, encryption in transit and at rest, secret handling.
Blockchain Developer
Build the on-chain core of the Haystack rail. You'll write the Move modules, token policies and Programmable Transaction Blocks that keep identity gated, settlement atomic and audit trails immutable - on SUI.
What you'll own
- Move modules for our token primitives (Holding, Commitment, Income, EIS certification) and settlement flows.
- TokenPolicy rules: KYC gating, investor-category checks, linked-pair enforcement, closed-loop perimeter.
- Atomic settlement via PTBs for subscriptions, capital calls, distributions and secondary transfers.
- The off-chain to on-chain bridge: webhook verification, signed mint/burn flows, event indexing and replay.
- Move test coverage, fuzzing, invariant testing and review gates.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years writing production smart-contract / on-chain code (Move, Solidity, Rust, Cadence or similar).
- A deep instinct for invariants, capability patterns and authority design.
- Experience with event-driven integration between on-chain logic and an off-chain service mesh.
- Comfort reasoning about upgrade paths, migration safety and economic correctness.
- Strong engineering fundamentals: testing, code review, pragmatic API design.
